JR Life Sciences Pte Ltd (JR) was incorporated in 2007 by its founder Mr. Ricky Ong. Motivated by the potential of the business, and inspired by his enthusiasm for success coupled with over 30 years of experience in the health food and supplements industry, Mr. Ricky Ong has since established JR as one of the top three health supplements importers and distributors in Singapore through self-assurance, hard work and perseverance.

JR is an established distributor of vitamins, minerals and various health supplements, with “Holistic Way” and “JR Life Sciences” as two principal brands owned by JR. As the owner and exclusive distributor for a wide range of world leading multivitamins, antioxidants and fish oil brands, JR’s products are natural health supplements which help cleanse and vitalise the body holistically to improve body immunity & wellness.

JR started the operations in a 100m² office doubling up as a warehouse with 5 employees, 5 counters and zero own product. Under the strong leadership of Mr. Ricky Ong, JR has grown to what it is today over the past 17 years, where we have 5 units of warehouse, over 100 of employees, more than 100 SKUs of own products sold in over 300 counters in pharmacies, health and personal care stores as well as departmental stores in Singapore and online marketplaces such as our own official website (https://www.holisticway.com.sg/), Shopee, Lazada, Qoo10 etc.

In an ambitious move to expand its reach and tap into new markets, JR is now venturing into overseas territories, aiming to replicate its success and establish a global presence. Under the continued guidance of Mr. Ricky Ong, this strategic expansion marks exciting milestones for JR as it embraces international opportunities beyond its home base in Singapore and into Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan and Indonesia.

Through active application or invitation from the organizers, JR is honoured with quite a number of awards such as Enterprise 50 Award, Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA), Influential Brand, Superbrands, Business Excellence Award, Great Place To Work (GPTW), Entrepreneur 100 Award, Brands For Good, Golden Bull Award, SME 500 Award, SME Excellence and Consumer’s Choice Award. Apart from that, we are also honoured with Guardian Healthy Beauty Awards, Unity Popular Choice Awards, Beauty Insider Beauty and Wellness Awards and Watsons HWB Awards. The awards signify our brand prestige and recognition which improve our reputation and quality assurance among business partners and customers.

A year after JR was founded in 2008, the company established JR People Care Fund, where all staff contributed monthly to the fund and eventually we allocated 1 percent of our revenue to CSR and it was increased to 1.5 percent in September 2022.

JR practises annual donation to charitable organisations and events in Singapore and overseas. We generally support staffs’ welfare, groups that represent social service organisations, diseases support organisations, nursing homes, religious organisations, and intellectual disabilities and underprivileged children support groups, benefitting twenty over support groups. Our efforts are focused on helping the destitute in the community by making monetary and in-kind donations as well as assistance to various charities and non-profit organisations.

Besides donation, Mr. Ricky Ong also engages JR Team to participate in charity related activities such as charity run or community service to show solidarity in our efforts to contribute back to the community and our existence is not limited to profit making but to create an inclusive and loving environment for everyone.
